How to Pick The Perfect Wedding Venue

How to pick the perfect wedding venue

When it comes to planning a wedding, picking the venue is on the top of that to-do list. But how to do you go about it? Your venue will play a big role in the feel of your wedding. Today we are talking about how to pick the perfect wedding venue.

3 Tips for How to Pick the Perfect Wedding Venue

1. Consider the wedding theme

Think big picture. Do you have a theme or an overall feel you want for your wedding? If you have always dreamed of a romantic, formal wedding, then an estate might be a better option for you than a vineyard. Think of the overarching story you are wanting your wedding day to tell and pick a venue that matches.

2. Keep your guest list in mind

Your guest list should play a role in your venue decision making process. You don’t want the venue to be too big, but you also definitely don’t want it to be too small. While you don’t need to have an exact head count, be sure to have an estimate of the number of people on your guest list when you are scouting locations.

Also keep the specific guests in mind. Do you have elderly guests that would have trouble on steep terrain? Or want to invite children? These are also things that you should consider when you are looking at venues. Also, talk to the venue coordinators about any accommodations they have for those that may need extra help getting around, or have a good child friendly space.

3. Be True to Yourself

If you have always dreamed of getting married in the mountains, don’t feel pressured to stray from that. This is your wedding day, it should be what you want it to be. Your venue should reflect your personality and be right for you both as a couple.
