We are so excited to share this beautiful springtime Newport Beach engagement session with you!
Those were the first words that Tabitha used to describe herself and Jake to us when she first reached out to us. We got a sense of that when we had our video chat consultation, but it was during their engagement session that we realized that that was the perfect way to describe them as a couple. They are perfectly matched!
Tabitha and Jake met five years ago while working together at a restaurant in North Carolina. He was a chef and she was a server. The discovered that they had both been born in California and had moved to North Carolina with their families when they were older.
In March of 2018, Jake proposed. Clearly he is a romantic at heart! While Tabitha and Jake were on trip to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, they stayed at The Mimslyn Inn – a historic inn. In the downstairs portion of the inn there is a restaurant with a prohibition themed bar. They happened to go there on jazz night and enjoyed a classic jazz trio play while they socialized with a few locals. When they returned to their room, Jake surprised Tabitha with his great grandmother’s ring.
This ring is incredible! Jake’s great grandfather had the ring designed in Germany and the design of the band spells out the word “love”. Their sweet story and unique ring fit their personalities perfectly.
Coming from North Carolina to get married in Orange County and Jake’s childhood home, they wanted to have their engagement session at the beach. Newport Beach was the just place for them and the weather was perfect!
Tabitha and Jake, you are such a joy! We have loved each interaction with you and can’t wait to serve and celebrate you!
Tabitha and Jake were such sports running through the cold water. The photos were totally worth getting wet for!
Tabitha’s joy is so contagious!
This ring is so incredible! We’ve never seen anything like it. Truly one of a kind.
Tabitha told us that she isn’t actually one to normally wear flowy dresses, but she trusted us when we recommended it. We’re so glad she did!
