A backyard wedding can be so sweet and intimate. Tabitha and Jake’s wedding was just that. What made it extra special was that it was held in Jake’s grandparent’s backyard where they got married themselves.

Tabitha and Jake actually live in North Carolina. They were both born in Southern California and their families moved to South Carolina when they were children. Tabitha and Jake decided that a beautiful California wedding would be perfect for them. Family and friends traveled from all over to celebrate in their union.

We talked about Tabitha’s ring in Tabitha and Jake’s engagement session post. But we still can’t get over how incredibly special this ring is!

Both Tabitha and Jake are Star Wars fans and found the perfect Star Wars themed Airbnb for the bridal party to get ready at. The guys particularly had fun with the lightsabers.

While many brides choose not to see their grooms the morning of their wedding, Tabitha opted to help Jake and his groomsmen get ready. We loved capturing all the joy and love that went into getting the guys dressed and ready for the wedding.

Tabitha’s closest family and friends wrote letters for her to read on the morning of her wedding. The letter from her dad was addressed to both of them. It must have been a good letter because it made them both laugh and cry (which all the best letters do). 

The guys had so much for with their lightsabers while the girls finished getting ready!

Tabitha has one of the best laughs! She is so joyful that it’s not hard to bring a laugh out of her.
